.places | starbucks overdose?

London is quite a busy place – there is always something going on. People are always in a rush and pretend to be busy. What do they need in order to be so energetic? Coffee! And, if you are in London and you are standing on the corner of Regent / Wigmore Street you are within 8 km of 164 branches of that lovely coffee shop.
P.S.: You got to love the Caramel Macchiato =)
.opinion | foreign languages
Communication skill is one of the most important ones out there. It makes your life easier when you go to a foreign country, and people there welcome you for speaking their language. You don’t have to be perfect, and I’m not saying I am perfect in those languages I speak. However, it’s a great feeling to be able to talk to people from various cultures in their language.
Go learn a foreign language!
P.S. I guess that post only made sense, if you know Russian, German and English.
.opinion | Cell Phones

Why do some people agree to meet up with you, say for lunch, and then just sit there with their Blackberry in their hands texting? Or, even worse talking to someone on their iPhone about some random stuff? Twitting what’s for lunch on your HTC? Don’t get me wrong. I understand, if it’s something urgent – it’s cool. But, please! If, you chose to spend 25 minutes on a lunch with a close friend, then please… if your phone is ringing, answer it, tell you’ll call back in a bit and put it away!
.alcohol | the Beginning
So, student life is pretty tough… but it’s also the best time of your life. I guess, only a few people can argue with that.
However, I get the feeling, that what you get at a University, beside your BA or BSc or whatever, is also a “3-Year Course of Screwing Up your Health”. Here I mean alcohol. If, you’d ask me, I would get a “first” along with all my friends for drinking with no problem. As a matter of fact, we would all get a PhD with a distinction.
Alcohol is bad. Trust me. I am not going to post any stories here. And, I’m sure as hell not going to tell them to my kids. But, isn’t everything that is fun – harmful, in some way or another? I say: “Yes”. Nevertheless, I will keep on screwing with my health, because it’s those little stories that happened that night that you don’t remember, that will make you laugh ’till you cry. One thing you can apply to student-life for sure is, that if you had an amazing time last night, you will most probably have a terrible day after. In my memories, it was always worth it… for what I can remember =).
And people say that after you graduate, university-level drinking is called alcoholism. Well, we will se how that goes.
